Which facial is right for you?
Chances are, when you think of a spa day, you think of facials. They're a great way to relax and revitalize your skin, but we all have different skin; this page should help you discover what you're looking for in a facial.
Oily skin
Your best bet for oily skin is something that exfoliates and cleanses your skin. If you have acne or blemishes, try salicylic or glycolic acid. Something like a mud, clay or gold facial should help you.
Dry skin
The opposite of oily skin, dry skin can leave your face feeling tight and cracked, causing a lot of irritation. You need something to moisturize or revitalize your skin. Gentle exfoliation is also recommended. Try a fruit-based mask.
Sensitive skin
If you have sensitive skin, it is highly recommended that you avoid synthetic products to lower the chance of breakouts. Try a more natural facial, such as a fruit or flower one. A lot of spas also offer hypoallergenic treatment. Be sure to ask about that.
Combination skin
This is a tough one to tackle, but using different treatments on different patches of skin can actuallly help quite a bit. Ask your dermatologist or beautician for specifics pertaining to your skin.
Aging or damaged skin
This is a tough one to tackle, but using different treatments on different patches of skin can actuallly help quite a bit. Ask your dermatologist or beautician for specifics pertaining to your skin. Look for a hydrating, revitalizing or firming facial.
